guruji i have been going to class for about a 1 year and they have teaching me the same old sa,re ,ga,ma,pa i am sick of it and i really want to start playing songs plz tell wht should i do ( i really want to start play songs:^-( plz)
pick up basic open chords,and basic strum patterns, when you are good enough with them. start with beginner songs like “papa kehte hai” ,”baate kuch ankahi see” etc and gradually move on to other tough songs,it takes time ,so be patient. you can get their chords and tutorial videos on the net.

– 1 Major chords – 2 Minor chords – 3 Dominant Seventh chords – 4 Sixth chords – 5 Suspended chords – 6 Slash chords – 7 Diminished chords
Sir, from last 2 days my ac.guitar’s 1st string proced unnecessary sound when i play it in frets bt when i play open 1st string then its sound accurate so, guruji provide some solution to overcome this prob!

Sir sounds like “thak-thak” of 1st string i mentioned abv
well… there’s no problem with the string.. happened with us as well.. i guess that sound of ” clinching” after u paly a note on first string dosent come in all frets… do check that out like on which all frets on the frst string that sound is coming.. then best thing is go to the place from where u brought ur guitar or any guitar factory and get ur frets polished by them… tell ur problem and make them hear that noise.. then either they will polish ur guitars fret board or will loosen up the truss rod 🙂

for strumming you can follow any 4/4 pattern,your own improvisations would make you more comfortable with the song,and i am damn sure your girl would love it 🙂 🙂

now,follow this pattern carefully,there are places where it slows down goes to single strum,but the rest of the song follows this. give it some practice,and you’d get it.

Hiiee guruji…Im in Indian Air Force…Im learning guitar from last approx 3 months…initially i was bored…but now im playing regularly bcoz i have my own guitar… 🙂 initially frets me fingers rakhne me bhi prblm hui bahut…but now im feeling gud…im not perfect till now but i knw im gud…my problem is im using pluktrm bcoz im unable to strum with my hand i dont knw y..but im happy…i knw chords, C, D, Em, Am, F & G…currently im trying to play papa kehte h bada naam karega song…kafi din ho gaye h…chords change krne me thodi prblm ho ri h…but i knw regular practice krne se aa jayega…im also learning pani da rang vekh k…i knw chords…but prblm strumming me ho ri h.. 😦 i also want to follow u on fb…but i dont knw kaise follow karu…Ans me. & strumming achi kaise karu apni… 🙂 Thnx

and you’ve patience! that’s one important skill required to learn the guitar. and let me clear your confusions, maximum people play the guitar using a plectum,so you don’t have to worry about that, the strumming will come to you naturally,just listen to the beats carefully, aur zaroori nahi hai ki har gaana original strumming mein hi bajaya jaaye, in fact agar aap apni khud ki strum pattern mein gana bajaayenge to wo original se zyada nikhar ke ayega, haan agar aapko har strum pattern mein problem hoti hai to, aap kuch strum patterns ki excercises hai unko follow kijiye,strum pattern samjhne ke liye aapko gaane ki beats samjhana padta hai,I cannot explain everything here. aap hame facebook pe follow hamare page pe kar sakte hai:
